Silkflex Eyes India's Growth Potential

Makes its presence felt at Knit Show 2015 and gets a positive response.

The business strategy of each company for a specific country largely depends upon the senior management’s perception of its market potential, maturity and scope for growth. Reflecting this concept are the views of Dr. Eric Tan, Director Silkflex Polymers, Malaysia, on the Indian market and therefore, participation in key industry events. “India is growing in the garment sector rapidly. More than 600 participants in Knit Show 2015 itself shows the strength and we as world’s largest producer of high quality water-based textile inks, will help the garment industry by providing solutions, by offering the water based, Non PVC, eco-friendly Inks to meet the standard of ZDHC,” he said.

During his discussions with the exporters and printers at Knit Show 2015, Dr. Tan was happy to see that the quality of printing is improving to compete against other exporting countries. The exporters and printers will look to do much better quality printing in coming days. Silkflex India is doing best by providing the extremely soft feel, which is the first requirement of all buyers.

Parag Majmudar of Ritman Group, The Parent Owner of Silkflex India shared that he also expects good growth of Indian garment industry in future looking to the expansion happening in Tirupur. The quality of printing is improving to compete the other exporting countries like Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc. “We service our customers by providing technical solutions and introducing required product time to time through our all India offices,” he emphasised.

Knit Show 2015, Tirupur was a very successful event, says Tushar Sanghavi, President, Silkflex India. “The aim is to create awareness about ZDHC (Zero Discharge Hazardous Chemicals) programme which will be implemented by 2020. Silkflex is providing zero formaldehyde, non PVC water based product range, which free printers and exports from the fear of RSL failure, since Silkflex is already ZDHC compliant. It has launched pre-sensitized photo emulsion, pallet glue, and all other printing Inks in water based, with non PVC, zero formaldehyde,” he pointed out.
